Glycolic Serum 5%

Regular price $34

Face Reality 5% Glycolic Serum is a corrective serum for exfoliating and addressing blackheads and bumps under the skin.

It's a secret weapon on the pathway to clear skin for a particular group of people. This alpha-hydroxy acid serum is useful for exfoliating dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Due to its structure, Glycolic is the best acid for dissolving blackheads and pebbles, including adult maturation arrest acne, under the skin. This improves the appearance of skin tone and skin brightness.

We recommend this glycolic acid serum for skin types prone to moderate or severe non-inflamed acne.

Glycolic acid has the smallest molecular weight of all the alpha hydroxy acids and penetrates the pore more quickly than other acids.

Great as a whole-face solution or spot treatment. Good for normal, combination, and oily skin types trying to address blackheads

Purified Water, Witch Hazel Alcohol, Glycolic Acid, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose

After using cleanser and toner, apply 2-3 pumps evenly across your clean face or the affected area.

Face Reality Glycolic Serums may be layered under Mandelic Serums, Vitamin A Correctives, or Acne Med as prescribed by your Acne Specialist. Follow with Face Reality Hydrabalance, Clearderma, or Cran-Peptide Cream. Finish with SPF.

Glycolic acid causes sun sensitivity. Do no use this serum without SPF. Do not wear glycolic serums on days that you plan to be outdoors all day.

PRO TIP: It is recommended to start with Face Reality 5% Glycolic Serum. Once you have completed that bottle and if you are still experiencing blackheads and pebbles or excess oil, bump to the 10% Glycolic Serum. If you are experiencing dry skin or inflammation, do not bump to 10%. We strongly recommend pairing this with Face Reality Ultra Gentle Cleanser for acne-prone skin. It won't dry your skin out further, without triggering further outbreaks.

Face Reality Glycolic Serums can be mixed with your daily moisturizer for a buffering effect. Glycolic Serums are very drying. Do not use glycolic acid if you have dry skin.
